An easy to grow biennial herb with flat dark green leaves that is rich in vitamins and minerals. Italian parsley has a higher concentration of essential oils than curly parsley which gives it a robust peppery flavour. It prefers full sun and a well-drained but damp position to grow. A versatile herb that is used in a variety of cuisines and is an excellent addition to sauces, soups, stews, salads and many other fresh or cooked dishes. It's an important component of a bouquet garni, and perfect for taming spicy dishes and garlic. It establishes well in containers, is great in the garden, as a border plant or in your vegie patch.

Planting Advice | Sow directly where they are to grow in the garden or in pots, in full sun or semi-shade. Sow seeds 5mm (¼in) deep. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear in 21 to 28 days. Thin out to 15cm (6in) apart. Water well. Harvest as needed. |
