When in flower, Zygocactus make a magnificent display in any garden or indoors with a wide variety of colours available. Although they are cacti, they are not desert plants and when not in flower they don’t require much water. Zygocactus do not like direct sunlight. They flower in response to shortening daylength, so usually towards the end of daylight savings.
