Tillandsia are a fascinating and exciting plant to keep that can be displayed in decorative vessels and require minimal maintenance. Called Air plants because of their ability to exist outside of a growing medium such as soil, Tillandsias occur naturally nestled onto the branches of other trees, gaining their moisture and nutrient requirements from the atmosphere. Preferring bright, indirect light, and the occasional soak in water, they are an interesting and curious plant to collect.
