An evergreen small tree with a spectacular smooth grey trunk that develops into a medium, many-branched shrub with a rounded growth habit reaching two metres in height. Its needle-like lovely green foliage makes it different from other wattles. It produces sweet honey-scented, bright yellow balls of flowers from winter into spring, attracting seed feeding birds and insects. It makes a good small screening tree and is great in rockeries, landscaped environments or in large containers
