This ever-popular tree fern boasts long and lush, dark green fronds which emerge from a stocky trunk that's densely covered with fibrous roots. A reliable fern for creating a tropical oasis at home, in ferneries, or planted in groups along pathways for a stunning display. This Australian native tree fern rarely exceeds three metres in height when grown in cultivation. It's best planted in a cool, shady position in a moist, well-drained soil enriched with humus.
